This site allows you to request your free consumer credit report once a year from each of the nationwide consumer credit report companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.
Remember that your spouse is eligible for the same free consumer services and checking both of your reports, if applicable, is highly recommended. In addition, please be aware that access to your credit report is free and other offered services on the websites are optional.
Instructions For Obtaining Your Free Credit Report
1. Go to www.annualcreditreport.com.
2. Identify your state and click “request report.”
3. Complete all fields for your demographic information.
4. Select the credit bureau you would like to use.
5. Follow the steps and you will need to accept the terms, and confirm your identity.
6. It will then give you an option to purchase your credit score.
7. Click “NO THANKS, just my report”.
8. Your credit report will appear and be available to view, which you may save on your home/office computer. If you wish you may also print a copy for your records.
